CM&C for parts... huh...wat is dat? (For English scroll down)
Binnen E&M is een projectteam bezig met alle voorbereidingen van de invoering van CM&C for parts, oftewel, Configuration Management & Control for Parts. Met CM&C for Parts kunnen we exact en realtime weten wat de configuratie van de vliegtuigen is én is voor belangrijk componenten de exacte positie realtime bekend.
KLM wordt gezien als een betrouwbare luchtvaartmaatschappij. Betrouwbaar zijn betekent dat we de klant veilig en op tijd vervoeren. Voor E&M betekent het dat we de vliegtuigen in goede conditie en aantoonbaar luchtwaardig moeten houden, zodat ze op tijd inzetbaar zijn voor het uitvoeren van de dienstregeling.
Om die betrouwbaarheid ook in de toekomst te waarborgen is het steeds belangrijker om exact en realtime te weten wat de configuratie van de vliegtuigen is. Niet alleen dat de juiste componenten zijn geïnstalleerd, maar ook dat voor belangrijke componenten de exacte positie realtime bekend is.

Naar verwachting gaan we vanaf het voorjaar gebruik maken van CM&C for Parts.
Binnenkort leggen we uit hoe we CM&C for Parts gaan realiseren en implementeren. We kunnen nu alvast meegeven dat we ook daar een video voor in de maak hebben die je niet wilt missen. Hou de E&M communicatiekanalen in de gaten en blijf op de hoogte.

CM&C for parts... huh...what's that?
Within E&M, a project team has been busy preparing for the introduction of Configuration Management & Control for Parts, or CM&C in short. With CM&C for Parts, we can know exactly and in real time what the configuration of the aircraft is and what the exact position is for important components in realtime.
KLM is considered a reliable airline. Reliability means transporting passengers on time and safely. For E&M, this means we must ensure the aircraft are maintained in good condition and are demonstrably airworthy so that they can be promptly deployed to operate the schedule.
To safeguard this reliability in future, it is increasingly important for us to know precisely and in real time what the aircraft configuration is. Not only that the correct components are installed, but that the exact position of components is known in real time.

We expect to go live and start using CM&C for Parts from spring.
