CM&C for parts: op weg naar implementatie (For English scroll down)
Binnen E&M is een projectteam bezig met alle voorbereidingen van de invoering van CM&C for parts, oftewel, Configuration Management & Control for Parts. Met CM&C for Parts kunnen we exact en realtime weten wat de configuratie van de vliegtuigen is én is voor belangrijke componenten de exacte positie realtime bekend op de vliegtuigpositie.
In de eerdere Scope van 21 maart hebben we jullie meegenomen waarom deze verandering belangrijk is voor KLM. CM&C for Parts helpt ons om exact en in realtime te weten wat de configuratie van onze vliegtuigen is. Niet alleen dat de juiste componenten zijn geïnstalleerd, maar ook dat voor belangrijke componenten de exacte positie realtime bekend is. Dit zorgt ervoor dat we de vliegtuigen in goede conditie en aantoonbaar luchtwaardig kunnen houden en draagt daarmee ook bij aan de reputatie van KLM als betrouwbare luchtvaartmaatschappij die de klant veilig en op tijd kan vervoeren.
Maar hoe gaan we dit realiseren en implementeren? We nemen een aantal stappen waarbij we de eerste stap in het najaar zullen nemen.

CM&C for parts: on the road to implementation
Within E&M, a project team is working on all preparations for the introduction of CM&C for parts, in other words, Configuration Management & Control for Parts. With CM&C for Parts we can know exactly and in real time what the configuration of the aircraft is and for important components the exact position is known in real time on the aircraft position.
In the previous Scope of 21 March, we explained why this change is important for KLM. CM&C for Parts helps us to know exactly and in real time what the configuration of our aircraft is. Not only that the right components are installed, but also that the exact position for important components is known in real time. This ensures that we can keep the aircraft in good condition and demonstrably airworthy and thus also contributes to KLM's reputation as a reliable airline that can transport the customer safely and on time.
But how are we going to realize and implement this? We are taking a number of steps where we will take the first step in the autumn.
