Daan Peschier
In the spotlight: Industrial Programs
In this column, a different VP within E&M places a colleague or team in the spotlight every month with an unexpected visit. This month, Pieter Cornelisse, VP Industrial Programmes, places Daan Peschier in the spotlight.
At E&M, the Industrial Programmes team is responsible for the strategic and tactical development of the Engineering Area. In the years ahead, numerous reconstruction, renovation and new construction projects are planned to transform the Engineering Area into a KLM E&M Tech Centre to be proud of. Working within the Industrial Programmes team, Daan Peschier has been closely involved in initiating and implementing several Hangar projects over the past year. Daan has been instrumental in substantiating investments for H4, H32 and H10, and setting the decision-making process in motion. He has puzzled to find sufficient “wiggle room” for aircraft that need engine testing or need to parked elsewhere during construction work. In the forthcoming years, a great deal will be happening at SPL-East, affecting KLM Group operations as well. With the Industrial Programmes team, Daan sought cooperation with Airframe, KLM Cityhopper, Transavia and Schiphol to identify appropriate steps to establish management guidelines aimed at optimising KLM Group operations. Why does Daan deserve to be placed in the spotlight? Daan is capable of managing complex issues while maintaining ongoing contact with all the respective stakeholders internally, paying special attention to properly preparing the decision-making process. To coordinate such initiatives you have to be alert and tactful. Daan knows how to strike an excellent balance in this arena. For this reason, we are happy to place Daan in the spotlight.
