Grand Opening Checkpoint Charlie
Checkpoint Charlie (CpC) has a rich history of some 14 years. In that time a lot has changed, but one thing remained the same: the spartan interior. Colleagues worked in harsh conditions, from freezing cold in winter to stifling heat in summer. Thankfully, that is now a thing of the past. In recent months, a lot of hard work has gone into making Checkpoint Charlie a valuable place to work with pleasure.
What does Checkpoint Charlie do?
For those unfamiliar with Checkpoint Charlie's work, here is a brief explanation. If a defective part is returned and components are therefore rejected, they will be sent back to Hangar 11, Checkpoint Charlie, with the exception of CS components. Within 24 hours of an extended part number arriving at CpC, a route is determined. This can range from internal or external repairs, warranty claims, clinic items or even scrap. The speed and efficiency of these processes depend on complete documentation from the production.
