Appointments within the AFKL E&M Group and Air France Industries

Effective 1 September 2024, several management appointments will be made within the AFKL E&M Group and at Air France Industries. Michael Grootenboer, currently SVP Group Engines Product, will be appointed SVP Group Procurement. After many years within the AFKL E&M Group and Airbus, he will be a valuable asset to the AFKL Group’s procurement community. He will replace Juriaan Lombaers, who will be leaving the AFKL Group as of the same date. Michael will be succeeded by Jean-Louis Forest, currently SVP Engine Services at Air France Industries. Jean-Louis has a great deal of maintenance experience and will be able to build on his extensive engine expertise to be successful in his new capacity within the AFKL E&M Group.

Bruno Tricoire, currently SVP Group Components Product, will replace Jean-Louis as the head of engine activities (counterpart of Martijn de Vries, VP Engine Services KLM E&M) at Air France Industries. With a wealth of experience of components and airframe maintenance, including CEO at iGO, he will be returning to the engine domain where he contributed in the past as Product Sales Director. We expect the appointment of the new SVP Group Components Product soon to succeed Bruno Tricoire. The process is managed by KLM HR, Ton Dortmans (EVP KLM Engineering & Maintenance) in cooperation with Anne Brachet (EVP Air France-KLM Engineering & Maintenance) and Géry Mortreux (EVP Air France Industries). We would like to thank everyone for their contributions in their current positions and would like to wish them all the very best in their new positions. Ton Dortmans EVP KLM Engineering & Maintenance
