Introduction new interns
At the first week of September six students have started in our department. Four of them are from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA), one from the University of Groningen, and one from Delft. We warmly welcome them and wish them an enjoyable and valuable time at LMI, with lots of job satisfaction! Below, they introduce themselves:
My name is Maria, I am 23 years old, I come from Curaçao; I am currently studying aeronautical engineering at InHolland University of Applied Sciences located in Delft. For my internship I am working for the department LMI on a dashboard ensuring the public a clear understanding of KPIs by better organized information and visuals.
My hobbies are stargazing, airplanes spotting and gaming. I do like to learn languages and am also very good at mathematics.
My motivation is my ambition and my goal is to go as far as God takes me.
My vision is to gain knowledge in different areas of aeronautics and also about space exploration, so I can use that to contribute to innovative and sustainable developments in the aerospace field.”
Kind regards,
Maria

Hi!
My name is Julian Jansen, I’m 24 years old and I’m a fourth-year student Industrial Engineering and Management at the Hanzehogeschool Groningen. Originally, I’m from Zutphen, a small town in Gelderland, but I moved to Groningen when I was 19 to pursue my studies. In my free time, I like to play squash or to have a drink with my friends. I also like to cook when I have the time.
At KLM, I’ll be conducting research within the LMI department. My assignment focuses on developing a proof-of-concept and a prototype for a global cost and pricing model, which will help KLM LMI with accurate and strategic decision making. I think this is a very interesting assignment and I’m thankful for this opportunity. With the support of the team, I’m confident we can achieve a great result, and I hope to successfully complete my studies through this internship.

Dear reader,
My name is Jordi Saridemir, 25 years old, living nearby Utrecht. Currently I’m in the last semester of my study Aviation Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Amsterdam. Therefore I’ll be doing my internship at KLM E&M at the LMI department.
By the 1st of January, LMI will be working with Aris Connect as their standard app for process modelling and management. To make this possible I have to fully map out, analyze and model this process according to the principles of Aris Connect so that it is ready for integration.
Besides my study I have different hobbies, like playing football, riding bike (motorcycle), play videogames or create videographic content. My biggest motivation is also my biggest goal in life: I want to make my family proud. I know I still have a lot to learn but I am going into the right direction. Who knows what the future will bring, the sky is the limit. During this internship, I hope to achieve a lot of knowledge from a lot of diMerent professionals.
My aim is to not only learn about the technical aspect of the field, but also about the practical skills and professional attitudes. By working alongside experts, I hope to broaden my understanding and strengthen my problem solving skills.

My name is Mounir Lilih, 4th year Aviation Engineering student at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. I am 24 years old and live in Amsterdam. For the upcoming five months I will do my internship within KLM LMI where I will work on streamlining the reusable parts return process for the aviation maintenance operations.
I Like to travel and explore the world. I am very motivated to work on my assignment and I am really looking forward for the upcoming five months to successfully complete the project and hopefully becoming an Aviation Engineer in the future.

My name is Aleksija Ćulafić, I am 20 years old, and I am a third-year student of Aviation Engineering and Technology at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
I am doing my internship at KLM Engineering & Maintenance, in the Line Maintenance International (LMI) department. During this internship, I will be developing an operations control dashboard with key performance indicators (KPIs) to support efficiency and decision-making within the organization.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, doing sports, and going out with friends.
My goal during this internship is to further develop myself, gain more practical experience in the aviation industry, and apply my technical and analytical skills to real-world challenges. In the future, I would like to continue my career in aviation and contribute to its innovation and growth.
Met vriendelijke groeten,
Aleksija Ćulafić

My name is Farukh Wahidi, I am 27 years old and currently living in Amsterdam. Although originally from Afghanistan, I have spent nearly my entire life in the Netherlands. I am in the final year of my Bachelor’s in Aviation Engineering, after previously completing a diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Technology (Mechanics) at Airport College in Hoofddorp.
During my internship, I will focus on my graduation project: implementing a Tool Management System at KLM that meets all legal and regulatory requirements. In my free time, I enjoy traveling with friends and family. What motivates me most is the opportunity to contribute to safer and more efficient aviation practices.
goal is to gain valuable experience and apply my knowledge in a professional setting. Looking ahead, I envision a career in aviation engineering where I can help improve maintenance systems and support innovation in the industry.
